Inner Earth Ltd

Last updated: 9 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. It covers this website, our mailing list, our workshops and recorded products, and our one to one and programme work with clients.

1. Who we are

Inner Earth Ltd is the data controller for the information described in this policy. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 15803001, registered office Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA.

For anything to do with your personal information, including any of the requests described in section 9, contact Adam Stansbury at adam@innerearth.co.uk.

2. The information we collect, and where it comes from

If you visit the website. Our host and our analytics record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you look at and how you arrived. Analytics only runs if you have agreed to it through the cookie banner. Our Cookie Policy covers this in detail.

If you download the free guide or join the mailing list. Your first name and email address, and the record of which emails you have been sent, opened and clicked. Our email platform records the country you are in.

If you book a discovery call. Your name, email address, and the answers you give on the booking form, which may include what you are struggling with and what you want help with.

If you become a client. Everything above, plus a telephone number, your address where you give it, your session history, the notes we take during and between sessions, and anything you tell us in session or by message.

If you buy a workshop, a replay or any other product. Your name and email address, what you bought, when, and the amount paid. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.

If you contact us. Whatever you put in your email, message or form, and our reply.

3. Health and other sensitive information

To work with you at all we need to know why you are coming, which usually means information about your health, including your mental health. Under UK data protection law that is special category data and it needs stronger protection than ordinary information.

We hold it on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you sign your client agreement before any work begins. You can withdraw that consent at any time, although we may need to keep your records for the period set out in section 7, because our insurers and our professional body require it.

Session notes are kept to the minimum needed to do the work properly. They are never used for marketing, they are never shared with anyone else without your consent except in the narrow circumstances described in section 5, and they are never used in any public writing, article, post or teaching material in a form that could identify you.

4. Why we use your information, and our lawful basis

What we do

Why

Our lawful basis

Answer your enquiry and hold a discovery call

So we can both work out whether the work is a good fit

Legitimate interests, and consent for anything you tell us about your health

Deliver sessions, programmes and products you have bought

To do what we have agreed to do

Performance of a contract, with explicit consent for health information

Keep session notes

Safe and competent practice, and a requirement of our insurance and our professional body

Legal obligation and legitimate interests, with explicit consent for health information

Send the free guide and the emails that follow it

Because you asked for them

Consent

Send marketing emails about our offers

To tell you about what we do

Consent, which you can withdraw at any time

Take payment, invoice, and keep accounts

To get paid and to meet our tax obligations

Performance of a contract, and legal obligation

Measure how the website and our ads perform

To understand what is working

Consent, through the cookie banner

Where we rely on legitimate interests, that interest is running and improving a small therapy practice, and we only rely on it where doing so does not override your rights.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We use the following suppliers, who process information on our behalf under contract:

Supplier

What they handle

MailerLite

The mailing list, the emails we send, and open and click records

Stripe

Payments. Stripe is the card processor and holds the card details, not us

Calendly

Discovery call and session bookings, and the answers on the booking form

Zoom

Online sessions and workshops

Microsoft OneDrive

Where client records and session notes are stored and archived

WhatsApp

Between session client messages, where a client chooses to use it

Elementor Hosting and Bunny Stream

The website itself, and the hosting and delivery of our video

Google and Meta

Website analytics, through Google Site Kit, and advertising through the Meta pixel, both only where you have agreed through the cookie banner

We also share information where we have to: with our accountant for our accounts, with our insurers or professional body if a complaint or a claim arises, and with the authorities where the law requires it.

Beyond that, we will only pass on what you have told us in session where you have asked us to, or where there is a serious risk to your safety or somebody else’s, or where a court orders it. If that situation ever arises we will tell you unless we are prevented from doing so.

6. Where your information goes

Some of the suppliers above are based outside the UK, mainly in the United States and the European Union. Where information leaves the UK, it is protected either by UK adequacy regulations or by the International Data Transfer Agreement, or the Addendum to the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, which those suppliers have in place.

7. How long we keep it

What

How long

Client records and session notes

Seven years after our last session together, then archived securely and deleted at the end of that period

Enquiries and discovery calls that do not become client work

Two years, in case you come back

Mailing list records

Until you unsubscribe, and then only the record needed to make sure we do not email you again

Purchase and accounting records

Six years after the end of the accounting period, which is what HMRC requires

Website analytics

As set out in our Cookie Policy

8. How we keep it safe

Client records are stored in a password protected account with two factor authentication turned on, and archived records are compressed and kept in the same account. Our suppliers hold the rest on their own secure systems. Only Adam Stansbury has access to client records.

No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information while it is in transit to us. If anything ever goes wrong in a way that puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and we will report it to the Information Commissioner’s Office where the law requires it.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

– be told what we hold about you, and to have a copy of it

– have anything inaccurate corrected

– have your information deleted, where we are not required to keep it

– ask us to restrict what we do with it

– object to our using it, including for marketing

– ask us to transfer it to you or to someone else in a portable form

– withdraw your consent at any time, where consent is what we relied on

To exercise any of these, email adam@innerearth.co.uk. We will reply within one month. There is no charge.

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every one, and you do not need to contact us to do it.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, which is the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

10. Cookies

This website uses cookies. Essential cookies are set automatically because the site will not work without them. Everything else, including analytics and advertising, is only set if you agree through the banner, and you can change your mind at any time. Our Cookie Policy explains what each one does.

11. Children

We work with clients aged 18 and over, and this website is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18. Where we agree to work with someone under 18, we do so with the written consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version on this page is the one that applies and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Where a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you directly.
